I would suggest that the file be named hide_directory (or maybe allow both hide_course and hide_directory) . E.g. it could also be placed in subdirectories which are not courses ( e.g. http://webwork.rochester.edu/webwork2/templates ). The fact that these are listed is a bug which Sam's idea would fix. If we come up with a more comprehensive solution, that would be fine but it will require some good ideas. Arnie Prof. Arnold K.
