I will, but I've been out of town, and have not had good access to mail 
while away.  Now that I'm back, my DSL modem has died, and I'm having 
trouble getting through the campus firewall on my dial-up access, so 
I'm STILL rather out of communication.  I'll check into it as soon as I 
can get everything under control here.

The whole error handling mechanism was pretty involved, as I recall, 
and I had to do some things I wasn't happy with in order to get it to 
work at all, but I've learned some things since then, and perhaps can 
simplify things a bit.  it will take some time for me to remember how 
it all worked, though.  :-)
