openvrml-xembed gets installed in PREFIX/libexec. If you've installed
OpenVRML, you can run it from there.
However, if you have installed OpenVRML, it should get started
automatically. It's not clear why that's not happening. Did you
install it to the same prefix as D-Bus? (If you didn't, that's the
problem.)
