Unfortunately, I think the only one of the *lookat viewers that's being actively maintained is Win32Lookat. You should be able to compile gtklookat against OpenVRML 0.9. Lookat, which comes with the OpenVRML distribution, is a simple GLUT-based viewer that should work on both Linux and Windows.
