OpenVPN UI provides a replacement user interface for OpenVPN built using WPF & .NET 4.0. It consists of two components a background service and a desktop tray controller application which allows connections to be controlled by users without Administrator rights.

It must be installed along side the standard OpenVPN package and the same rules used by OpenVPN GUI (included as part of this standard package) are used to locate configuration files. Therefore these files must have a .ovpn extension and be placed in the config directory of the OpenVPN installation.

Once installed a windows service will be created called "OpenVPN UI Host Service" which will be automatically started. To control this service launch "OpenVPN UI" from the start menu and a tray control application will be displayed.

You must have .NET 4.0 installed and OpenVPN 2.2 or greater.
