First frame! Screenshot available

We have been able to pull our first frame off the server! The image is not perfect; the colors are weird and there is an unknown black rectangle on the top-left, but we're getting closer to something usable!

First working version (CVS) - Testers needed

A working version of the core library (libvmrc) is now available in the CVS. This version is working agains the -RC release of Virtual Server. We would appreciate if some people could give it a try a production non-RC (RELEASE or PRE-SP1) version. I'm afraid some stuff might have changed in the latest releases. Make sure you set your encoding type to AUTO or NTLMSSP in your VMRC Server settings since Kerberos isn't supported yet. E-mail me the output of a `make && make test && ./test` _AND_ `make test-static && ./test-static`. Also if someone could provide access to an non-RC server that would be much appreciated. ... read more

OS X/PPC Support

We will officially support OS X/PPC with a native viewer!

A temporary patch to compile Libvmrc on OS X and possibly other big-endian systems is available. It's ugly but.. Hey! It works! Apply against the current CVS release and run 'make test-static'.

Development Continues

After almost a year of inactivity, the development of OpenVMRC continues. The goal is to get a working version before the end of 2005.

Here is a quick list of things that needs to be implemented or reviewed:
