Gracias. /Sergi. Ps: In last email I wrote in English. Now I did it in Spanish, because I th= ink=20 the subscribed people talks in this language. If there are someone who does= =20 not understand, say it to me and I will translate it quickly! |

Hallöchen! Since you want to implement VISA, I ask here, too. I must read data which is longer that the "count" parameter to viRead(). The reason is that I don't know the data length a priori. So I have to read multiple times, here in Python-like pseudocode: buffer = "" chunk = viRead(vi, chunk_size) buffer += chunk while len(chunk) == chunk_size: chunk = viRead(vi, chunk_size) buffer += chunk return buffer Every five times or so, this fails with my NI VISA implementation; in particular, some bytes (2-10) of the beginning of a chunk are missing. Apparently between successive viRead() some characters are dropped. Does the VISA specification explicitly discourage this approach? I haven't found anything. Thank you! Hello Marcelo, I've been messing about a little bit with the CVS versions you uploaded. I'm using Anjuta to program and i'm having some problems. I think i'll have to read some docs about cvs... :) Concerning the license, as i'm working in a corporation that will be interested in using the project to develop it's own tools, i think as you, that the license should be LGPL. But when i created the project i thought it was better GPL... I think i've got to send an email to Sourceforge to change the license (i'll get informed)... For now, if changed the trove classification to appear as LGPL... I don't know what you mean by closing the patch... i don't know much of cvs and sorceforge so you can tell me what i'm doing wrong if you know it. I changed common.h but the changes has not been reflected in the branch loott... bye |
