I have a P-III 450mhz, 128MB ECC, 10GB, 3dfx VooDoo 3 3000, Sound Blaster AWE 32, Intel 10/100..

I am using Slackware 7.0 Linux..

Windows UnrealTournament CD is mounted to: /mnt/cdrom

I used the 4.00A install and got:

bash-2.03$ ./setup.sh
Testing system.
./setup.sh: line 5: syntax error near unexpected token `then'
./setup.sh: line 5: `if { ldd ./setup.data/bin/x86/glibc-2.1/setup.gtk | grep -Ei "notfound|missing" > /dev/null }; then'

Manually did:
./setup.data/bin/x86/glibc-2.1/setup.gtk

fancy splash screen came up.. installed fine to:
/usr/local/games/UnrealTournament

did this all as a USER

then tried the game and got
#./UnrealTournament
Segmentation fault
(splash screen for half a sec then crashed)

(root did same problem)
then I installed the 402B Patch hopeing it would fix this:

I then recieved:
bash-2.03# ./UnrealTournament
Signal: Segmentation fault!
(splash screen then dies, same for root)

here is a copy of the log file:

bash-2.03$ ./UnrealTournament -log

I am running Default X that came with Slackware 7.0
xdpyinfo shows: vendor release 335 = X 3.3.5
I am running in 1600x1200 in 32bit color
I have 640x480 thru 1600x1200 video mode selected,
I have tried all vid modes and depth settings, nada.

I am using the latest January release drivers of Glide.
I ran the 3dfx tests, testGlide2x and testGlide3x, both showed the 3dfx logo screen and worked fine.

I have no idea what to do from this point on :/

Anyone have any idea what I can try?

Thank you all for your help..

The script doesn\'t work with the current version of bash. I\'ve been able to get it up and running with zsh 3.1.6.

However, your manual installation looks fine to me, and your configuration looks okay as well, so I can only suggest that you try reinstalling the latest version 4.13.
