On our server (games.netway.at) running on
Redhat 5.2/kernel 2.2.12 SMP/Dual P3 500
are two dedicated UT Servers running.
One on Port 7777 and one on 8000. Since the quirk happens on both in the same way I'll report for 7777 only.
If I start the server it opens on port 7777 with queryport 7778.
>ScriptLog: UdpServerQuery: Port 7778 successfully bound.
Then it opens ports 7779 to 7782 for masterserver connections (seen in netstat -a)
>udp 0 0 *:7781 *:*
>udp 0 0 *:7780 *:*
>udp 0 0 *:7779 *:*
even if he logs other data:
>ScriptLog: UdpServerUplink: Master Server is unreal.epicgames.com:27900
>ScriptLog: UdpServerUplink: Port 7779 successfully bound.
>Log: Resolved master0.gamespy.com (207.199.1.21)
>ScriptLog: UdpServerUplink: Master Server is master0.gamespy.com:27900
>ScriptLog: UdpServerUplink: Port 7779 successfully bound.
>Log: Resolved master.mplayer.com (216.35.30.57)
>ScriptLog: UdpServerUplink: Master Server is master.mplayer.com:27900
>ScriptLog: UdpServerUplink: Port 7779 successfully bound.
After a mapchange the port 7777 is still alive, but he can't reallocate 7778-7781 and takes 7782-7785
>ScriptLog: UdpServerQuery: Port 7782 successfully bound.
>Log: Resolved unreal.epicgames.com (216.27.43.133)
>ScriptLog: UdpServerUplink: Master Server is unreal.epicgames.com:27900
>ScriptLog: UdpServerUplink: Port 7783 successfully bound.
>Log: Resolved master0.gamespy.com (207.199.1.21)
>ScriptLog: UdpServerUplink: Master Server is master0.gamespy.com:27900
>ScriptLog: UdpServerUplink: Port 7783 successfully bound.
>Log: Resolved master.mplayer.com (216.35.30.57)
>ScriptLog: UdpServerUplink: Master Server is master.mplayer.com:27900
>ScriptLog: UdpServerUplink: Port 7783 successfully bound.
Same happens to port 8777 which I'm not sure for what he needs it.
The bad thingy on this is, that nobody is able to query th server on port 7782.
At the next levelchange he swaps back to the usual portnumbers at 7778-7781. and so on.......
Some for server on port 8000 with portnumbers 8001-8004 and 8005-8008.
