My mistake - I was editing openupload/locale/en.inc.php openupload/templates/default/locale/en.inc.php Now that I edited the correct file - translation is happening as it should.. Can I translate any text field or are there pre-defined text fields that can be translated? Thanks, -J -----Original Message----- From: Alessandro Briosi [mailto:ts...@br...] Sent: Wednesday, August 26, 2009 11:29 AM To: OpenUpload Delvel and General talk Subject: Re: [openupload-devel] Template Changes It should defenatly work, maybe there's something preventing the translation. Maybe I spoke too soon. I remove all languages besides English and added some English to English translations in locale/en.inc.php. The changes do not seem to be working? Any ideas? Any plans to change the way this is done so I can make English changes? Hi, I believe it's a problem with the way I'm handling the mime types.
Right now I declare the file from what the browser sends me, but I
should be checking mime types on the server ...
Just to check it out try replacing the line 400 of
lib/modules/default/files.inc.php
from:
header('Content-Type: '.$finfo[$num]['mime']);
to
header('Content-Type: application/octet-stream');
And redo the download ...
This should fix the problem (at least I hope)
Alessandro
P.S. can u check what the database mime field contains on that file?

Hi, I believe it's a problem with the way I'm handling the mime types.
Right now I declare the file from what the browser sends me, but I
should be checking mime types on the server ...
Just to check it out try replacing the line 400 of
lib/modules/default/files.inc.php
from:
header('Content-Type: '.$finfo[$num]['mime']);
to
header('Content-Type: application/octet-stream');
And redo the download ...
This should fix the problem (at least I hope)
Alessandro
P.S. can u check what the database mime field contains on that file?

Hi Alexandr, please subscribe to the list (it is a member only list) [1] or open a support request [2]. I'm not sure I properly understand what the problem is... For what I understood if you upload a zip file, once you download it , it is not correctly working (corrupted)? (opening with windows xp native zip won't work?) What is the browser used for upload/download? Am I correct to suppose the zip file was uploaded as a zip file, or are you using the compression plugin? If the latter maybe it is some misconfiguration... Let me know. Hi, I having problem with zip archive files after download. Build-in to MS Windows zip software do not want open archive file at all, 7-zip open files and shows shared link inside. After I click on link icon, it shows directory and after that everything fine. Please, advice what I should do to prevent this situation. Thanks, Alexandr |

Hi Matt, please subscribe to the list for further questioning, or open a Support Request. I think that the prototype is causing this behavier, you could try to remove the upload progress code in the template (javascript). Probably the problem is the maximum allowed file size or the file_upload is not allowed. It could also be some sort of system denial, like apparmor or selinux. I'd suggest to check apache and system logs to see if it is really a php or system problem. Alessandro P.S. Also check the .htaccess Feider, Matt ha scritto: > I am really racking my brain here. I am really racking my brain here. I am hoping someone can help with a simple solution. I have installed openupload four times now. The first few were to prove out the concept on some test boxes that I already have running with other services. They worked great. They have all been on ubuntu basically LAMP. Now I go to install on the machine I want as a final server. I know I am missing something simple but I just cannot find out what it is. I suspect a configuration with PHP but am not sure. in web page - go to openupload url User logs in successfully - in this case main admin and administrator group upload form is shown, user selects file, and upload button shows up user presses upload button screen immediately returns to upload form with no button and empty text box no error message or log file in web view or database or syslog, it doesn't seem to go to or spend any time at step 2. I have tried turning off the upload progress, same result Any ideas? some other debug data if needed all plugins have been disabled, though same result in any combination here system was installed to be private, but I have messed with permisions, but basically have everything set to allowed all other areas of openupload appear to work fine, option editing and everything, www-data user/group has access to everything I believe except with the above error it works great. to bad the above error is the one vital function and purpose of this tool. I have found this which can be of help, there is no ldap_escape function so your solution seems correct, the only thing is that also the username needs to be escaped. /* Escape any characters with a special meaning in LDAP. The following * characters have a special meaning (according to RFC 2253): * ',', '+', '"', '\', '<', '>', ';', '*' * These characters are escaped by prefixing them with '\'. */ $username = addcslashes($username, ',+"\\<>;*'); $password = addcslashes($password, ',+"\\<>;*'); but yours seems more complete.
