Hi, I believe it's a problem with the way I'm handling the mime types.
Right now I declare the file from what the browser sends me, but I
should be checking mime types on the server ...
Just to check it out try replacing the line 400 of
lib/modules/default/files.inc.php
from:
header('Content-Type: '.$finfo[$num]['mime']);
to
header('Content-Type: application/octet-stream');
And redo the download ...
This should fix the problem (at least I hope)

P.S. can u check what the database mime field contains on that file?
