original version

  • Evotouch greyscale graphical touch control panel
  • HR80 TRV
  • on/off (BDR91) or OpenTherm (R8810) boiler controller

The original Evohome system included the HR80 TRV which was introduced years ago as part of the Honeywell Hometronic System. The HR80 can still be used with the 2014 Evohome system so long as it has firmware version 2.03 or later.

Communication protocol is proprietary over 868MHz FSK. There is some open source software to monitor the system's radio comms: https://github.com/jrosser/honeymon/wiki https://github.com/jrosser/honeymon

There's a very capable home automation controller available that's compatible with it: https://www.centraline.com/uploads/ecat-en2/ecatdata/pg_clhawk.html
