#44 Multiple File Open Crashes System

You can open at most around 100 files at one shot. For
example, select 120 e-mails and pick Open With... and use
something like BeIDE which can handle lots of files
(StyledEdit runs out of file handles). Tracker will crash
when it tries to prepare the RefsReceived BMessage when there
are more than 100ish files. The app server then locks up and
you have to reboot. Perhaps it has run out of file handles,
or maybe some message queue slots or some other BeOS limit.
The same problem happens with old Tracker, and with the file
requestor panel.

Anyway, I'd like to be able to select 5000 files in one of my
e-mail directories and open with... the spam database updater.
