[Opentnl-general] Wide character strings

Does anyone know if there's any plan for TNL to support wide character
strings (for localization) in the future?  Is there already support,
but I just didn't notice it?

If I need to use wide character strings, do folks recommend:

A.) Modifying the current string-related classes and methods to handle it,
B.) Just passing it as raw byte data,
C.) Adding new classes and methods which mirror the behavior of the
standard string classes,
or
D.) None of the above?
