[Opentnl-general] Compiling tnl-1.4.0rc4 with MinGW 2.0 (gcc 3.2)

Greetings,

While trying to compile tnl with MinGW, I got the following:

platform.cpp: In function `bool TNL::Platform::checkHeap()':
platform.cpp:123: `_HEAPOK' undeclared (first use this function)

This may be a MinGW bug, perhaps _HEAPOK should be defined in malloc.h.

Anyway, my solution was to comment out the checkHeap function entirely,
since it is apparently never used (and not even defined on platforms
other than WIN32).


Another question:

In class NetConnection, is there a good reason for
enum TerminationReason to be protected?
I'd like to use it roughly in the following way:

void LNetInterface::CL_Reset()
{
  if (server_con)
    disconnect(server_con, NetConnection::ReasonSelfDisconnect, "Client quits.\n");

  netstate = NS_Unconnected;
}

Is there a better way to do this?
