Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7619801 By: sichen For those of you who've work with the new version of ofbiz, is it a lot slower? For example, for the ofbiz 4.0 used in opentaps 1.0.x, my start up is: 2009-09-09 12:11:05,528 (main) [ ContainerLoader.java:51 :INFO ] [Startup] Loading containers... 2009-09-09 12:12:22,931 (main) [ CatalinaContainer.java:242:INFO ] Started Apache Tomcat/5.5.20 but for the new version ofbiz-0904 with opentaps 1.4 my startup looks like this: 2009-09-09 11:54:53,952 (main) [ ContainerLoader.java:51 :INFO ] [Startup] Loading containers... 2009-09-09 12:05:58,297 (main) [ CatalinaContainer.java:240:INFO ] Started Apache Tomcat/6.0.16 In other words, my startup has gone from 1:15 to 10:05. Is there something that should be configured to speed up things? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7619583 By: mark_hulsman It will probably fix it. But it depends on how they are implementing it and how the software is blocking it. If the software blocks by ip address it will continue to block it, but most likely the software will block by domain. I noticed that the chat on ning goes through #.chat02.ningim.com. If it continued to go through there then parts of the site would be blocked, but if ning implements all the data to go through opentaps.org then it would not be blocked. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7619477 By: sichen Do you know why that is? One thing I do plan to do is to pay for their premium service so that it appears as opentaps.org, rather than opentaps-opensource.ning.com, if/when we go live with it. I wonder if that would fix it? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7619393 By: lordtenchi If I got this right, the KeyWordSearch.bsh is the code for controlling the Search Engine in the Ecommerce engine right? Well, maybe not the SEARCH code - but the start of it... where EXACTLY is that code? The actual SEARCHING Code... I can't stand that the search engine doesn't know how to actually "search" the database at all... (* example: search for CHAIR and it finds nothing, even though there are 8 items with Chair in the Title, Description or elsewhere *) I rewrote the code in PHP to work correctly. It'll take the entire search phrase and return correctly what is being searched for based on relevancy - and now I wanna convert the actual engine to do that - since I am unable to run the new code inside OpenTaps or call it externally without leaving the Ecommerce Site. Grrr - anyone know where to find that snippet of code so I can change it? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7616893 By: brentware There's something odd, the zip file is 478 MB however, the unzipped zip file results in only a hot-deploy folder with some subfolders, CRMSFA. Pentaho, amazon and opentaps-tests for a total size of 190 MB. The downloaded zip file on my computer though does say 478 MB. I will try a second download. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7616640 By: sichen Indeed it is very strange that you cannot actually search this forum. I wrote to source Forge, and though they told me was to go to some other place on the site -- some kind of an ideas and suggestions feature which I couldn't figure out how to use. Anyway, the only way to do it seems to be to download the mailing list version off this forum (see https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/sourceforge/ticket/4167) and then search them as e-mails. Does anybody know how to maybe set these up online somewhere, so everybody could search them? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7616627 By: oandreyev CRMSFA shares opentaps analytics reports. This means you should install and deploy opentaps analytics to get them working. Some info can be found at http://www.opentaps.org/docs/index.php/Opentaps_Analytics Whatever the case we will think how to avoid this error. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7616628 By: sichen I guess it currently doesn't support that. It groups everything together by one tax authority. You could try to hack it by having each county be set up as a separate tax authority party. We're going to look at that report some more and see if that could be improved as well ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7616603 By: sichen If you have not done anything like create order, invoice, or receive the inventory for your product, then you can go to Web tools > service reference, look for a service called opentaps.removeProduct, and then run it. It will remove your product and product related entries. However, this will not work if anything else has already started using the product. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7616597 By: sichen Check your log file first To see if there are any errors. Also, your Java event method needs to return "success" so that the controller knows where to direct it. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7609161 By: euronymous666 I've checked out the preview1 version (rev. 13212), without any problem. Then run-install, finished without any problems (just few errors/warnings: - [java] 2009-09-04 15:03:17,073 (main) [ DatabaseUtil.java:2713:ERROR] Could not create foreign key indices for entity [GlAccountTransEntryFact]: SQL Exception while executing the following: [java] CREATE INDEX ACCTGTRANSENTRY ON OFBIZ.GL_ACCOUNT_TRANS_ENTRY_FACT (ACCTG_TRANS_ID, ACCTG_TRANS_ENTRY_SEQ_ID [java] Error was: java.sql.SQLException: Index 'ACCTGTRANSENTRY' already exists in Schema 'OFBIZ'. - some errors putting demo data in the DB, in tables like ACCTG_TRANS_ENTRY, GL_ACCOUNT, INVOICE_ITEM_TYPE, and others...all related to the financials demo data) Finally running java -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -jar ofbiz.jar, no problems are encountered. So everything runs without any problems, except for some demo data. Btw, is it still based on the old tomcat 5.5.20, as I can see in the logs, but I can imagine hoe much work you're spending on the previews...so continue in this way! ;) Great work. :::Michele Orru'::: Network & Security Manager, IntegratingWeb.com http://www.integratingweb.com ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
