Hi,

I fetched code+plugins+multisync from svn yesterday, copied autogen.sh to
folders plugins that was missing it and compiled - FINE, but

 msynctool --listplugins gives;

Available plugins:
palm-sync
file-sync
kdepim

 even though ls /usr/local/lib/opensync/plugins gives;

file_sync.la  irmc_sync.la  kdepim_lib.la  kdepim_sync.la  palm_sync.la
file_sync.so  irmc_sync.so  kdepim_lib.so  kdepim_sync.so  palm_sync.so

I.e., why doesn't msynctool acknowledge/see irmc libs?

I'd love to se a working irmc <-> kde-pim connection with full kde-pim
(korganizer,kabc,knotes) functionality :-)

I'm working on it right now. Next step is to remove sync_vtype, but=20
before we have to fixe some encoding issues in opensync.

Without sync_vtype I'm able to sync my SE D750i contacts correctly.

Hi,
I really appreciate that someone is working on the irmc plugin. I have trie=
d=20
to sync my K750i with KDE some months ago and it worked only once, means=20
really syncing wasn't possible.

If someone is needed for testing, please let me know...

  I  want to clarify my doubts regarding LibSyncML implementation. I
just go through the code. But i hav'nt find the syncml client
implementation :-(. 
 
Is it already implemented in 0.4.0 version ? Can someone help me to
figure it out.

$ msynctool --addmember kde-irmc kdepim-sync
Unable to instance plugin with name kdepim-sync: Could not find format
"xml-note"

after compiling tar-sources for the 0.19 release. (same thing with svn
sources as of today, oct 4-06)

Any clue anyone?

Strange.. maybe some borken linking...

Please create OSYNC_TRACE files:

export OSYNC_TRACE=/tmp/osync_trace/;
mkdir $OSYNC_TRACE;
msynctool --addmember kde-irmc kdepim-sync;
cd /tmp/;
tar cvfj osync-trace-xmlnote-missing.tar.bz2 ./osync_trace/;

.. and reply the tarball to this mail.

Thanks for bringing this on?
It seems as if the linkage towards libiconv (from xml-*.so) is broken. 
Aspecially, the libiconv_open call is not recognized ...

I'm using libiconv-1.9.1 (didn't check the req.)

i've been trying to get syncing setup for my phone with libsyncml, so
far i haven't had much luck, i'm currently using libsyncml-0.4.5

this is the command i've tried, (with various changes, e.g. no wbxml,
playing with the identifier, and the uri name, this one SEEMS to me to
be the most success full, some others just seem to fail to connect)

i've got a couple of files from the trace not sure where i should put
them for the list to find them, if anyone has any ideas (the phone
appears to have two syncml channels, one calls itself "SyncML Client"
[channel 11], the other "Nokia SyncML Server" [channel 7], they both
give the same results as near as i can tell)

ok i've found out that the correct Identifier is "PC Suite Data Sync",
and i've gotten it to start syncing, (works fine with
syncml-obex-client) but then msynctool segfaults, so i'm recompiling
with debugging symbols to see what i can find

after installing the vformat plugins and kde-pim i'm able to synchronize

I got the same with the gpe-sync plugin.

Problem is i can't compilt with --enable-tracing. it gives me an error on a 
library he couldn't find: tau-pthreads

From which package is this library?

this sounds more like enabled profiling. tau is the tuning and analysis
package which can be used to profile the application.

so please take a look if profiling is enabled in the configure output
