Hi, my Sony Ericsson works basically fine with 0.22. The only problem: I get a "memory full" (German: "Speicher voll") warning when my calendar is synced. BUT the amount of calendar entries is not high - its about 50 (at least if one birthday is only counted once). I tried already to delete all events from the K800i and to reload the calendar entries from KDE. I did also remove all older events from KDE Calendar. The "memory full" error blocks already the sync of some new events. Is it possible, that K800i stores all recurring birthday events not only once, but several times on history and future? How can I find detect the reason for the memory limitation - maybe something else consumes all the memory. ## I'd like to try limiting the synchronisation to some few weeks in past and some months in future. This might solve the problem, as some other Windows users mentioned in some other forums, that this would have solved their problem. Thanks, Achim |

Hi, my VCALENDAR file in KDE contains just 55 of type "BEGIN:VEVENT" - so it = wonders me, why my K800i returns this failure. Thanks, Achim Am Dienstag, 22. But not quite sure about this...) Could you check on your mobile the memory stats? If you're using SyncML there are some memory stats which doesn't get used by the syncml plugin. You set SYNCML_LOG and check the XML dumps for memory infomraito in the recvieved*.xml files. best regards, Daniel |

Hi Daniel, sorry that I didn't provide enough details: + kubuntu feisty + opensync packages from http://opensync.gforge.punktart.de/repo/opensync-0.21/ + Plugin: IrMC + K800i from O2 with firmware SW-Info: R1EG001 Should I try the SYNCML plugin? - I didn't try this until now How can I detect the memory stats - especially for calendar? - my memory stats for address book: + contacts 523(1000) + numbers 441(2500) + SIM-card memory - SIM-contacts 250(250) - the file manager reports 61MB free phone memory and free 187MB memory = stick What do you mean with hard and soft deletion? Hi Ben,
it's is rather simple to get IrMC to work with K800i:
<config>
<connectmedium>bluetooth</connectmedium>
<btunit>xx:yy:zz:aa:bb:cc</btunit>
<btchannel>8</btchannel>
</config>
Just set your BT identification in your config file.

By the way:
Here some update:
1) I switched to dual booted WinXP to backup my SMS on PC
(all Linux programs that I found - including wammu -=20
had problems with SMS download,...)
and removed all messages from before 2008
((did the backup with "My Phone Explorer"))
2) I upgraded also my firmware with SEUS to
R1KG001 - a revision from April 2007
(SEUS didn't provide me the newest R8BA024 as this
might not be released for O2??)
3) Deleted all contacts and calendar entries
(due to forced slow sync ....)
NOW I got all calendar events to K800i - including the missing ones from =
before.
Important:
The amount of SMS was before 505 of possible 958 - so this shouldn't =
have=20
caused the problem.
OR - this might be the problem, if "My Phone Explorer" counted only the =
amount=20
of SMS - which might be wrong in this case, as I write many long SMS =
(package=20
of several SMS ...).
RESUME:
Whoever has such a problem should try to upgrade firmware and to backup =
some=20
SMS to PC (and remove them afterwards on K800i).
Sorry that I didn't test each variant on its own - I didn't want to dual =
boot=20
back and forth ...
Interesting note:
Wammu is NOW also able to read my SMS - the remaining 42 messages.
So maybe I had too many messages for wammu, or some content disturbed =
wammu's=20
SMS download.
Bye,
Achim
