[Opensync-users] Debian unstable and Ubuntu(?) packages

Hi list,

i have tweaked my debian packages a little so that they in theory can install 
with Ubuntu  (untested).

Could some of the Ubuntu users on the list test it?

I tried to install on Ubuntu Dapper, without success:

$ sudo apt-get install python2.4-opensync opensyncutils multisync-cli=20
libopensync-plugin-syncml libopensync-plugin-kdepim libopensync-plugin-file=

Paketlisten werden gelesen... Fertig
Abh=E4ngigkeitsbaum wird aufgebaut... Fertig
Einige Pakete konnten nicht installiert werden. Das kann bedeuten, dass
Sie eine unm=F6gliche Situation angefordert haben oder dass, wenn Sie die
instabile Distribution verwenden, einige erforderliche Pakete noch nicht
kreiert oder aus Incoming herausbewegt wurden.
Die folgenden Informationen helfen Ihnen vielleicht, die Situation zu l=F6s=

With help of Stephan Berberig i tryed to fix that.

There are new packages at http://www.in.fh-merseburg.de/~jahn/.

#osync packages
deb http://www.in.fh-merseburg.de/~jahn/ ./ 
#Additionally needed Debian Unstable Backports for Ubuntu Dapper Drake:
deb http://www.in.fh-merseburg.de/~jahn/dapper/ ./ 

2 packages are currently uninstallable: 
-python2.4-opensync 
 and 
-kitchensync-opensync

can't download these packages from here :
http://www.in.fh-merseburg.de/~jahn/addons/ (forbidden error)

Also, libopenobex breaks compatibility with packages from the main
repository that needs it.
In dapper the package is libopenobex-1.0-1 while yours is libopenobex1,
this breaks kdebluetooth f.i. :(

doh ....  permission problems

but i will not fix these ... instead i am working on creating a real  
repository ...... 
i will announce this later

thats sad but i can not change this..  atm (maybe with a provides rule ...?)

What is problem there? You can be installed same time libopenobex-1.0-0 
and libopenobex1. Then kdebluetooth use libopenobex-1.0-0 and libsyncml 
libopenobex1 so I think there isn't problem.

You can be installed same time only libopenobex-1.0-0-dev or 
libopenobex1-dev. No both same time but you need dev packages only if 
you want build packages what need libopenobex.

in fact installing libopenobex1 first and then libopenobex-1.0-1 from
the main dapper repository works, here is the packages contents:

maybe the latter uses a naming scheme from debian?
anyway, this solves the problem, even though I would have preferred
having only one package of the same lib (it is the same lib, isn't it?)

well, usually I need to have installed only the latest version of a lib...
