Hi, as infrared doesn't seem to work with syncml I got myself a USB-Blootooth dongle. I got it working, at least partly. What I try is this: syncml-obex-client -b 00:17:B0:56:98:78 11 --slow-sync text/x-vcard Contacts --version 1.1 --wbxml --add text/x-vcard std.vcf connection with device succeeded Received an Alert for the DS Server at Contacts: Type: 201, Last 4, Next 4 Slowsyncing Just received a new session with ID 1 Received the DevInf Session 1 reported final. flushing Received an reply to our Alert Going to receive 0 changes Adding file std.vcf Session 1 reported final. flushing Received a added entry 79 of size 88 and type text/x-vcard Data: BEGIN:VCARD VERSION:2.1 N:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx TEL;PREF;VOICE:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx END:VCARD Received an reply to our Sync: 200 Received an reply to our Add command: 500. The new uid is (null) Session 1 reported final. flushing Session 1 has ended Unfortunatelly nothing is written to my mobile. When I try do sync against a file-plugin with the same data, I get an error 500, which seens to correspond to the "Received an reply to our Add command: 500" from above. Any Ideas, what I'm doing wrong? Thanks, Stephan |

Hi, I got some steps further. There seems to be a problem with the v-card file kabc produces, so it can't be synced. When I use the kde-pim plugin instead of the file-plugin, most things get synced, but I get several error messages: [...] Error writing entry 516 to member 1 (syncml-obex-client): Unable to commit change. Error 500 Mapping Write Error: Unable to commit change. Error 500 [...] Error writing entry 9PE1vEWLoe_KABC_Birthday to member 1 (syncml-obex-client): Unable to commit change. Error 500 Mapping Write Error: Unable to commit change. Error 500 [...] Error writing entry libkcal-1005550060.310 to member 1 (syncml-obex-client): Unable to commit change. Error 500 Mapping Write Error: Unable to commit change. Error 500 [...] Member 1 of type syncml-obex-client committed all changes. All clients have written Member 2 of type kdepim-sync just disconnected Member 1 of type syncml-obex-client just disconnected All clients have disconnected The sync failed: Unable to write one or more objects Error while synchronizing: Unable to write one or more objects In between a lot of entries get added. Is there a way to find out, which entries cause the trouble? (entry 516 does not help much...) Maybe there is some strange field in the vcard? Is there anything I can do about the KABC_Birthday entries? Stephan |

Hi, I had the same errors as you when i first tried syncing my phone with evolution & my pda, in a mad/drunk moment, i had the idea to wipe the phone, evolution & pda of any contacts & appointments (after backing them up offcourse) and to try again. At first, it worked wonderfully, however, since just now, i seem to be having the same error 500's again as you have, and my phone keeps doing a slow sync, with afew dosen conflicts that don't really exist (conflicts in contacts that haven't been edited at all on any of the 3 devices), and syncing to the PDA tends to duplicate about 45% of my contacts. If you find a solution, do let me know On Wed, 2006-10-25 at 07:36 +0200, Stephan Olbrich wrote: > No ideas? Anybody? > Do you need more information?
