[Opensync-users] SyncML plugin current status

Hi everybody,

I'd like to ask about the status of the SyncML plugin of OpenSync. Is it
actively used these days? Are there people currently working on it?

Also, I'd like to know about the nature of such a plugin. I think it is
an http server internally but I'm not sure about it. Would it make sense
to create a SyncML client plugin for OpenSync?

Sorry if these are dumb questions but I'm new to the world of
synchronization between mobile devices and computers and I really want
to learn how it works since I may work in future projects related to
these technologies.

I did a quick search on the mailing list archives but couldn't find
answers to my questions. Sorry if I didn't search properly.

There is both a SyncML client and server in OpenSync.

The server:

  http://www.opensync.org/browser/plugins/syncml

The client:

  http://www.opensync.org/browser/plugins/syncml-client 

They both use the SyncML library:

  http://libsyncml.opensync.org/
