Hi All, OK, last time I emailed this list I was asking about how to configure palm-sync. I've done that now (although can't guarantee that I've got everything right). I'm syncing between a Palm Z22 and evolution2. I'm using the rpms for fedora core 4. I hit the hotsync on the Palm and then do msynctool --sync palm-evolution and I get the lovely tweedle-dee noise and all sorts of things about entries in the various members of my palm-evolution things start coming up on my screen. Then the following occurs: Member 2 of type evo2-sync committed all changes. All clients have written Member 2 of type evo2-sync just disconnected And then my Palm goes deedle-twee and it thinks it is now finished, but then msynctool starts working away like a fiend doing something or other (I can tell this from the load on my machine). I did a trace on it and this is what it keeps on spitting out over and over again: [1143908702.891366] MAP(SOLV1,SYNC1,DATA1,INFO0,DEL0,CHK1,MUL1) [1143908702.891408] <<<<<<< osengine_mapping_decider: Waste [1143908702.891450] <<<<<<< engine_message_handler [1143908702.899151] >>>>>>> engine_message_handler((nil), 0xb27e8b48:MAPPING_CHANGED, 0x97a6c40) [1143908702.899242] >>>>>>> osengine_mapping_decider(0x97a6c40, 0x98aeae8) [1143908702.899289] ENG(RUN1,STOP1,SENT1,READ1,MAP1,CHK1,MUL1,SYNC1,COMMITTED1) [1143908702.899332] MAP(SOLV1,SYNC1,DATA1,INFO0,DEL0,CHK1,MUL1) [1143908702.899374] <<<<<<< osengine_mapping_decider: Waste [1143908702.899413] <<<<<<< engine_message_handler [1143908702.907149] >>>>>>> engine_message_handler((nil), 0xb27e8bf0:MAPPING_CHANGED, 0x97a6c40) [1143908702.907241] >>>>>>> osengine_mapping_decider(0x97a6c40, 0x98af3b8) [1143908702.907288] ENG(RUN1,STOP1,SENT1,READ1,MAP1,CHK1,MUL1,SYNC1,COMMITTED1) As you can see, some of the hex addresses change, but not all. It keeps doing this for as long as I let it - I have a 43Mbyte thread file from it now. Has anyone come across this before, or have the faintest idea what is going on?? I'm using This is msynctool version "0.18" using OpenSync version "0.18" Cheers, Turlough -- ************************************************************************** Dr Turlough Downes Email: tur...@dc...
