I had the same problem with swedish charachters. I solved it by enabling translatecharset in the config for the irmc side. This solved it when syncing from the irm device to the computer. But syncing back does not work. Here is my config: <config> <fixedst>false</fixedst> <donttellsync>false</donttellsync> <onlyphonenumbers>true</onlyphonenumbers> <dontacceptold>true</dontacceptold> <maximumage>7</maximumage> <translatecharset>true</translatecharset> <charset>ISO8859-1</charset> <alarmtoirmc>true</alarmtoirmc> <alarmfromirmc>true</alarmfromirmc> <convertade>convcard</convertade> <connectmedium>ir</connectmedium> <irname>K500 series</irname> </config> Magnus On Thu, 2006-02-16 at 23:45 +0100, Marc Barisch wrote: > Hi, > I have successully synced my contacts and appointments to my Sony Erics= son=20 > 750i except one issue. > The special letters, called umlauts in German, =C3=A4,=C3=B6,=C3=BC,=C3= =9F are replaced by some=20 > numbers. > Has anybody similiar problems and a solution? > I am currently using an utf8 encoding. >=20 > Best regards > Marc >=20 >=20 > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
