Try customer support, if you believe it, of course. I once considered
buying a Sony-Ericsson, and I got the information that k700i and s700i
use syncml 1.1 (if it helps for 630). (Polish customer care). 

Siemens (Polish and UK) and Samsung (Polish) customer care did not
answer my questions on syncml. 

(the question still remains: why do I use Siemens?)
