Hi all, thanks for your replies. @Emanoil: I even started out with the gammu 1.29.0 source but then switched to the package in my distro, for fear that I had missed some important environment variable for making the custom gammu installation in my /opt dir work properly (i.e. make its include files be found by the gammu plugin). I thought that if I install libgammu-dev through the package manager, the header files will be found in any case. However, since the google calendar plugin also had issues (there were errors parsing the incoming events; it looked like it was expecting XML but not getting it) and it is not really sufficiently documented, I kinda gave up on my sync plans. I'd have to look at the code, I guess, and I just don't have the time to get that involved with OpenSync.
