[Opensync-devel] syncml application

Hi, thanks for your time,but can you please tell me that syncml-ds-tool
which is there in libsyncml->tools is using only syncml api's or some other
api's also?
form where i can start writing application using syncml for syncronizing my
phonebook with my system.
Detailed steps would be a great help.thank u
