There are a number of open bug reports.  

From my recollection, I am not quite sure if the timeout issue in the engine 
is solved, but I think the queue limit is still disabled so it doesn't stop 
anything working today unless you have a very large number of entries.

If I remember correctly, the most obvious outstanding problem which stops 
people actually using opensync (apart from porting more of the plugins) is 
the lack of timezone handling (and possibly some other issues) in the vformat 
plugin.  However, the more serious issue is capabilty handling which is 
generally missing: it doesn't affect basic sync but will cause data loss if 
people try to use opensync for production use.

gpe-sync is not currently working but I don't think it will take me long to 
fix it.  But it won't be until I get back from holiday in a couple of weeks.
