I'm looking at getting a basic cell phone that I can sync the contacts with Linux. I do not want a smartphone for a variety of reasons (I can have a separate discussion about that if you'd like). My understanding is that opensync is the only real way to do this under Linux, is this correct? What things should I look for in a cell phone that will increase the probability that opensync will work with it? My cell carrier is Verizon.
