[Opensync-users] barry-sync needs root privileges

Hey,
I am trying to sync to my blackberry using barry. I have finally managed to
get barry up and running, and the group set up. but when I tell it to sync,
barry throws the same error it always throws when it is not run as root.
when run as root, it uses the wrong config, and I don't think it would find
my kde-pim information either.
How can I run the plugin with root privileges, or somehow allow it to do its
magic without having to have root privileges?
