This was a sync with the mobile connect via USB - right?

Could try to sync via Bluetooth and sniff the Bluetooth traffic? Often the 
Bluetooth interface are connected via USB - so just sniff the Bluetooth 
interface with the USB app. you used before.

It would be interesting to see if the OBEX interface only get used via 
Bluetooth...
