I'm not really sure about this. An Akonadi slide writes about a potential OpenSync agent but after reading the agent example I doubt about the correct API. An agent must implement several callbacks and this means we could only do the following: 1. configure OpenSync to use filesync 2. write an Akonadi plugin which can handle directories of filesync If we want to connect OpenSync directly to Akonadi then we must implement it as a normal Akonadi application which is not so easy like a resource agent I think.
