Which plugin are you using for syncing your mobile? IrMC or SyncML?

(There might be a soft- and hard-deletion issue. But not quite sure about 
this...)

Could you check on your mobile the memory stats?
If you're using SyncML there are some memory stats which doesn't get used by 
the syncml plugin. You set SYNCML_LOG and check the XML dumps for memory 
infomraito in the recvieved*.xml files.
