Daniel, thank you very much for your quick answer. You provided so
much more information than I ever expected! I see that OpenSync is not
the tool for my task, right now, and I will dig deeper into rsync. I
will also have a special look at unison, which was completely unknown
to me.
I felt free to add your excellent answers to the FAQ.
