We should also care about JAVA virtual machines availability and characteristics. For PDAs, we know about:
a) SUN PersonalJava Runtime Environment for the Windows CE 2.11 platform, available at http://java.sun.com/products/personaljava/
b) the Jeode virtual machine (now is esmertec Jeode Java Virtual Machine for Microsoft Pocket PC, and costs about $60).
Both machines were used to successfully test the viewer on the IPAQ 3850 and on the Pocket Loox.
This viewer has never been tested on a cell phone with JAVA support (as far as I know).
Please add comments about other JVM availability, for mobiles platforms. Also, information about Palm supported JVM and their features are welcome.
Best regards for everybody,
Jorge Gustavo Rocha
