It took a bit of work to get the OpenSteer code to compile into my Direct3D project and to get it working but it's a great starting point for me. I'm not yet using it at its full potential but now that I've got it working in my game it should be easier to implement my own behaviours for character AI.
BTW It's interesting to read Craig's post "Steering Behaviors are Doing It Wrong" about Andrew Fray. He was a colleague of mine when I worked at Codemasters on the graphics in the F1 games. :-)
