[OpenSTA-devel] Open Source Load Testing

ok.. this is kinda very big news and I want to know how the OpenSTA dev folks feel.

Radview has a tool called WebLoad that has been a successful commercial load testing tool for many years.  Well.. this morning they announced they are releasing an open source version (full on GPL licensed, not some lame attempt at open source).

so.. I have no idea what kind of community they will build and how they will be towards the community.  However, since it is GPL'ed, anyone can fork the project at any time.  Perhaps pieces could be ported to use with OpenSTA?.. perhaps OpenSTA dev's want to fork it as a base for OpenSTA 2? who knows... just throwing in my 2 cents.

any thoughts?

p.s. I have no idea what language it is written in.. i'm trying to download the source today.
