Thomas, welcome to the wonderful world of open-source software!  Lest you
think the entrance fee is *free*, there is a definite initial price--which
is:  training yourself on the basics by reading/studying the FAQs and Help.
All of what you ask is in there.

After you do that, and get your first script partially developed and have
more advanced issues you are trying to resolve, send it along with plenty of
detailed info and you'll find people happy to help.

Pr, if you need to come up to speed faster than that, there are tutorials
and consultants ready to provide help, for a fee.
