#20 Default store taxes have no effect

Great script, thank you for your time and hard work!

We are trying to figure out how to make your system work for us.
We have two taxes that need to be adjusted/removed differently when shipping items to USA, Europe and Canada. Rather than setting different item taxes on every transaction, we have tried to leave the item taxes blank, and simply change the default store tax amount in "Store Config" for transactions with odd tax amounts. Unfortunately, this has no effect at all in calculating the taxes. Is there a way to make this work as intended?

We have run into this issue also. Apparently the 'default store tax' is intended to set the default state for product taxes, not store-wide as one would think. If it did override the taxes store wide, the script would be usable for us as we could simply change store tax, ring in the out of province or out of country sale, then set the store tax back to normal again. We are desperately trying to find a way to change the code to make this happen but aren't having any success yet :(
