    Ferdi

It works from Safari on iOS. I usually use Chrome though as that is my default browser everywhere.
Definitely handles multiple sessions, I haven't tried more than 3 at once though.
Our church doesn't have internet and it works, I have set it up using XAMPP to host the OpenSong Remote files, browse to those and then the communcation is direct from the browser to OpenSong.
Not having a password on the OpenSong API access makes it more stable in my experience.

I'm also working on a manual for our church but haven't progressed very far yet, would be keen to collaborate with you.

I haven't used the second screen or lilypond stuff yet - looks interesting.

    Hi Michael!
Which files are required for "OpenSong Remote" to be hosted on your XAMPP webserver?

If you can't install the android app...
    Just load from www.dehoeksteen.info/beam-team/app/index.html
Acces to deheoksteen.info is only for laoidng the page
Should work in any recent browser

    Hi Roland,
I'll give it another try. In my first attempt my two safari/iOS devices gave the "websocket error" message when I tried to connect to my OpenSong server via deHoeksteen.
Which files are required if I want to set it up on my own web server with your crbcrb "OpenSong Remote" files? And where should those files go?

Thanks for the huge amount of work you have done. It is amazing!

make sure when you acces the link on dehoeksteen.info that you use http. When using https the page while load fine but the connection to opensong will fail with 'websocket error'

All the files are also on github
To run on your own webserver you need index.html and the directories (with all files in it) files and locales
On your own webserver the files go in the http root directory (if there is no other content on hat webserver)

Thanks Roland. I tried again with Safari and it worked. I still had a few "websocket error"s but they went away quickly.

If you want to correct comments in index.html:

  • Opensong must be running with Automation API enabled (to enable, goto in OpenSong to generic settings, on the system tab)

  • There is no "generic". It would be more accurate to say:
  • Opensong must be running with Automation API enabled (to enable, goto in OpenSong to
"Settings" - "General Settings" - "System" tab. Under "Automation API" tick "Enable remote control server")
