#32 Opensis 6.3 installer stuck at step 3

I am trying to install opensis 6.3 on a linode server I am using and have run into trouble at step 3 of the installation. When I enter my school name with start and end dates (no matter the values of those fields or whether or not I check "Install with sample school data"), the screen that follows when I choose "Save & Next" is blank. There are no error messages, but it will not move to step 4.

I am running Ubuntu 16.10 with php 7.0 and am happy to provide additional details as needed. Any help is greatly appreciated.
