Easiest way is to provide an actual B2BUA route and send it to a bogus IP Address. You can also set Host-Access-List filters to ban IP addresses using the Web Admin. Joegen |

Vitaly, Let me replicate your setup locally and get back to you on that CANCEL issue. For the meantime, however, I can see that the domain in the INVITE to URI is not the same domain you configured for you trunk. If your trunk domain is "sip:foobar.com", inbound INVITe should have that domain in the To URI so OpenSBC would know which trunk segment to use for routing. 1. Upper registration is compatible with a VPN. What causes you to think that these can't be used together? 2. Have you considered using the OSBC encyption instead of the VPN? OSBC encrytpion will work with Upper registration. 3. If you don't NEED to authenticate registrations, you could just authenticate calls by creating a route to brekeke and use OSBC as the registrar |

the easiest way to do this is to create a b2bua route to a dead host. eg. [ sip : example.com ] sip : 10.10.10.10 |

Hi all, I have setup a OpenSBC enviroment. We want to block SIP URi's here No IP. I'm sure it is possible to do that so in OpenSBC, we rather use the webgui instead of creating XML files. I would appreciate if one could tell where to search in the gui, or if its in XML, where to do it. TiA, Regards, Imran |

Thanks for that Joegen. The UpperRegistration works but I have another question. As OSBC doesn't have Radius Support I am using Brekeke between OSBC and my Radius Server. I have a number of clients in different geographic locations that are connected to a VPN because their ISP is blocking VoIP. The VPN server is actually running on the same box as OSBC. The clients behind the VPN are not able to use an Outbound proxy so I would like to know if it is possible to get those clients registering with OSBC and then OSBC somehow acts as some kind of Proxy where OSBC in turn registers with Brekeke on behalf of those clients behind the VPN instead of using UpperRegistration. I can get the VPN clients to register directly with OSBC using turning on 'Allow All Registrations' in the local domains section but then I don't know how to get OSBC to talk to Brekeke so that the registration requests also goes over to Brekeke. I hope my explanation made some kind of sense! Any ideas? regards, Miced. |

My aim is not to do hairpin. I want to trunk inbound calls only. So I have been tried to test a direct call from analog phone to sip-trunk and I got "SIP/2.0 405 Method Not Allowed" May be it is because NAT problem? I added UpperReg route [sip:*@ext.ip:9006] sip:int.ip:9006 but it doesn't help. May be it is need to add prerouting rule to iptable? |

Threading was screwed up in the OSS Forum so I am reposting this: Hi Robert, OpenSBC can do hairpin if you do it correctly. The outbound call should be sent through the main trunk UA1 -> OSBC-Main-Trunk -> SIP-Server When the SIP-Server hairpins/trombones the call back to OpenSBC, it must either use one of two listeners based on which config applies ** SIP-Server has static routing policies OR is configured as upper-reg SIP-Server -> OSBC-BackDoor -> OSBC-Main-Trunk -> UA2 Or ** SIP-Server configured as a trunk provider SIP-Server -> OSBC-SIP-Trunk -> OSBC-Main-Trunk -> UA2 In the case of the original poster, he is trying to trombone the call back to the SIP-Trunk which would cause call-id collisions Joegen |

Your route list in Upper-Registration should look like [sip:57.x.x.2*] sip:57.x.x.2:5060 In you User Agent Configuration, you should set OB Proxy: sip:57.x.x.10:5060 Domain: sip:57.x.x.2:5060 Joegen OpenSBC Forum wrote: > <span class="jive-content-block-pm">I am trying to configure in > UpperRegistration mode which would forward registration requests to my > Brekeke SIP Server. I had to issue these commands in the opensbc directory: ./configure then 'make bothnoshared' then 'make distrib' since 'make distrib' didn't work after ./configure Now it is working. I guess I can make two calls over sip-trunk at the same time. I want to test incoming calls but I can't call from PSTN number. So I'm trying to call from my internal sipx number over sip-trunk to another number which must be routed to another internal number. According to this sip-trunk config I dial 44555555555 from number sip:10...@si...domain and want to be routed to number sip:20...@si...domain Is it correct? <xml> <siptrunk trunk-name="provider.org" route-set="provider.org" sip-domain="provider.org" expires="20"> <trunk-accounts> <account user-name="44444444444" auth-user-name="44444444444" auth-password="mypass" inboundroute="sip:10...@si...domain" expires="3600" /> <account user-name="44555555555" auth-user-name="44555555555" auth-password="mypass" inboundroute="sip:20...@si...domain" expires="3600" /> </trunk-accounts> <transient-accounts> <account user-name="44444444444" auth-user-name="44444444444" auth-password="mypass" inboundroute="sip:10...@si...domain" /> <account user-name="44555555555" auth-user-name="44555555555" auth-password="mypass" inboundroute="sip:20...@si...domain" /> </transient-accounts> </siptrunk> </xml> |

In addition, from the looks at the log you sent me, you seem to be tromboning/hairpining the call back to OpenSBC. So the call goes out the SIP Trunk and loop back to the SIP trunk again. This will not work. OpenSBC will not route this call properly in this context. Joegen E. Baclor wrote: > Now I am confused. > > 1. Now I am confused. 1. Are ext num1 and ext num2 actual SIP User Agents in the signaling path? 2. There seem to be two sip trunks in your call flow. Are you running two instances of OpenSBC? 3. OpenSBC does not send a 500 Internal Server Error. I am quite sure it did not come from OSBC. So please dig deeper into your setup and find out which UA is causing it. I could probably help in the why as long as you give give me the exact picture. Try this. After running ./configure + make, go to opensbc directory and run 'make distrib'. This should copy all the files you need to run opensbc in opensbc/distrib folder including startup scripts. Hello All, I am trying to follow the manual here: http://www.opensipstack.org/sbc_man_install.html#2.1 but I don't seem to be getting anywhere and I just want to clarify a few things. These are the steps I am doing. 1) Downloaded OpenSBC-1-1-5_RC2 in /usr/local and untarred it 2)Under the directory /usr/local/OpenSBC-1-1-5_RC2/ I have the following files and directories: configure Makefile *opensbc* *opensipstack* *From what I understand from the manual I continue as follows:* 3) cd opensipstack then ./configure and make bothnoshared 4) cd opensbc then ./configure and make bothnoshared Here is the point where I am lost because there is also another configure script under the directory /usr/local/OpenSBC-1-1-5_RC2/ but the manual doesn't mention anything about that. The manual goes on to http://www.opensipstack.org/sbc_man_install.html#2.2, then I tried to run OSBC using the command: Running OpenSBC as a daemon #./opensbc -d -p pidfile.txt I get the error ./opensbc: No such file or directory I try to such for the file pidfile.txt without success. Can someone please tell me where I am going wrong? I am trying to follow the manual but it is not working. Does anyone have a better step by step for the installation? regards, Miced <code> </code> |

I would start by looking at the log of which UA sent the error. I am going to assume that your call flow is UA1 -> SIP-Trunk -> Main Trunk -> SIPX Upon reaching SIPX what happens to the INVITE? Is it SIPX that's sending the 500 Internal Server Error? Joegen OpenSBC Forum wrote: > Hi Joegen, > > > Seems I achieved some progress. Inbound calls place to a sip-trunk listener now.
