Hi Everyone, I just want to warn everybody who downloaded source codes from yesterdays CVS head up to this time that a partial patch has been committed to CVS related to reliable provisional response (RFC 3262) support. The said patch is known to crash the IST FSM and is not safe for production use. I should be able to provide the final stable patch within the next 24 hours. Joegen |

Joegen, Thanks for your response. For location service I intended to know if OpenSBC has interfaces t query a remote database and get the results or it can query a local database only? Guys, I am a new OpenSBC user and need some basic information. Please help me with the following doubts: 1. Does it support REDIRECT functionality? 2. Hi Everyone, As I have hinted in the past, there is a plan to provide a new level of administrative interface for OpenSBC. As most of you might have discovered by now, OpenSBC is very easy to install and requires virtually no configuration for you to be able to run and use it. This is all because of a built-in HTTP server that allows for OpenSBC to be configured remotely. However, since version 1.1.4 and with the introduction of more advanced features like SIP Trunking, the built-in HTTP Config Pages is out-growing its simplicity. We are now in a point where we need to decide what technology to use to bring the configuration modules to the next level. We need to seriously consider the following criteria in choosing the solution. 1. It should be very easy to install and package 2. Built-in access to back-end databases preferably Postgress 3. Must be able to host Dynamic HTML Content 4. Other criteria that might be useful are support for XML-RPC and SOAP Some of the basic choices that I pulled out straight from my thoughts are 1. A separate web interface easily installable as standard Apache Web application. Choices are PHP, JSP Ruby with SQL back-end 2. Stand-alone Python HTTP Server just like the trac project. See http://trac.edgewall.org/ 3. Enhance the HTTP Admin to support Fast-CGI extension to allow for dynamic HTTP content to be hosted straight by OpenSBC I would want to hear from everyone if you are leaning towards a certain approach or would want another approach altogether. Let me take that back. You may indeed create your own XML-RPC server
by implementing the methods found in OSSAppConfig::InitXMLRPC(). There
is not much has been said and written about this easter egg in OpenSBC.
I am impressed that you went this deep to figure it out. I am
currently contemplating on introducing a real SQL Database to OpenSBC.
I wonder if this is a popular wish item. Feel free to comment on it.
RegisterMethod( "Config.GetListItem" );
RegisterMethod( "Config.SetListItem" );
RegisterMethod( "Config.AppendListItem" );
RegisterMethod( "Config.GetListSize" );
RegisterMethod( "Config.GetString" );
RegisterMethod( "Config.SetString" );
RegisterMethod( "Config.GetInteger" );
RegisterMethod( "Config.SetInteger" );
RegisterMethod( "Config.GetBoolean" );
RegisterMethod( "Config.SetBoolean" );
RegisterMethod( "Config.Subscribe" );
RegisterMethod( "Config.Changed" );

SIP-T support requires a very big change in the SIP Parser to support binary data to be attached with a multi-part body. This feature is planned to be supported and would be expected to be in the pipeline. I just do not know when exactly. ehernaez wrote: > OSBC is not currently SIP-T compliant. Based on the logs, you are still using a version that did not let the request-uri pass through. Recent changes has ammended this behavior and B2BUA routes now honor not only the To-URI to be routes but the request-URI as well. Please upgrade using CVS head. Hi Antonio,
I have been experiencing similar problems. OpenSBC consistently crashes VC++ 2005 Expres when trying to build it, even though the sources compile without a problem. I have build opensipstack separately and this works fine, but I had to reconfigure things to make this succeed. I used the configure.exe tool (in the opensipstack directory) to disable IPv^6 and to exclude some of my directories from being searched for whatever the configuration tool searches for when activated from the IDE or from the commandline without any parameters.
I.e. I opened a command prompt in the opensipstack directory and ran configure as follows: "configure --disable-ipv6"
Maybe this will do the trick for you. If not, try disabling some of the features that you don't need and/or try excluding directories ("--exclude-dir=..." ) that don't seem to be needed.
Cheers,
Frank

Hi Joegen, I trust you are doing fine. While continuing to explore the trunking feature of OpenSBC with various SIP providers, we ran in to the following issue:- While testing with voipviop.com, The AOR of our account in <http://voipvoip.com> voipvoip.com is <http://us.f524.mail.yahoo.com/ym/Compose?To=sip:555...@si... m> sip:555...@si... and <http://voipvoip.com> voipvoip.com proxy registers OpenSBC with above SIP URI. But <http://voipvoip.com> voipvoip.com has allocated DID 12069220355 for this particular AOR and all the incoming calls coming to OpenSBC have SIP TO URI as To: < <http://us.f524.mail.yahoo.com/ym/Compose?To=sip:206...@si... m> sip:206...@si... >. Now the problem is that when an inbound call comes in, the code searches for UserName: 2069220355 and tries to get SipTrunkAccount object but it fails as UserName is 5553885283 on Sip Trunk Config Page. Here is snippet from the code. SBCRoutingHandler::B2BRouteCall() { SBCSIPTrunkAccount account; account.SetUserName( to.GetURI().GetUser().c_str() ); if( trunkReg->FindTrunkAccount( account ) ) { ///ok we have an account uri = SIPURI( account.GetInboundRoute() ); } } Any suggestions on how we can get the DID into account for trunking? As always, thanks in advance for your reply. Regards, Gaurav |

The only time OpenSBC will send a reInvite would be during 3PCC Call Transfer (Local REFER). This is to make sure that the call being transfered is notified of the new codec (If remote chooses to pick a different one from the set). If you are not referring to 3PCC Call Transfer, the the reINVITE you see came from the endpoints. OpenSBC just relays the SDP in this case. HTH.
