>From experience with other SBC's (Tekelec, Nextone, etc) they have a master / slave setup and a floating virtual IP on both the public and private side of the network. While running, the call state is mirrored between the two in real time and in the event that the master fails, the slave ARP's the virtual IP and takes over the RTP and SIP. The result would be a fully redundant SBC as long as everything is configured to use the floating virtual IP and not the "real" IP's of the SBC's |
