I don't think the phone should successfully register if there is nothing
to register to, the SBC can't register the phones, just proxy the
REGISTER request and OK messages.

Number 1 is what we are trying to do the only problem we see is if the
primary asterisk server is down does the primary SBC have the ability
to redirect traffic to the secondary SBC. If it does not, even if a sip
phone supports two proxies if the primary BC is running and the primary
asterisk is not, the phones would still register with the primary SBC.
Well, atleast this is what i am trying to get to the bottom of. Thanks
