PRESENCE:PUBLISH->SIP 503, SUBSCRIBE-...

    Hi everybody,

    I'm new to Opensips environment and I would really apreciate to get some extra info on how to move ahead with the issue I'm having.  First things first: I did not find any issue related to this one and that's the reason why I'm posting it in this forum. It's extremely difficult to get feedback from Opensips issues! :'-(

    In order to test it only as Presence Server, I configured my SBC to send:

    1.- REGISTER and INVITE messages an AS that is acting as REGISTRAR and Call control Aplication Server.
    2.- PUBLISH, SUBSCRIBE and MESSAGE SIP messages to Opensips server.

    Of course, I'm using a VoIP client that already is a P&IM client as well (actually it is the NCS client from Nokia, Nokia Communication Suite 4.2.2.8922)

    With a tcpdump running on the Opensips I get traces of the registering process of my softphone and what I get is a 503 service unavailable to the PUBLISH that the UA is sending and a 404 Not found to the event: presence and event :presence.winfo SUBSCRIBE messages that the UA is sending.

    I have already checked that opensips is running:

    root@pimserver:/var/log# ps aux | grep opensip

    and checked the logs too ( tail /var/log/syslog, with no errors on it, just the promiscouos mode due to the activated tcpdump).

    The trace that I get shows that 503 Service Unavailable to the PUBLISH sent from the UA and the 404 Not Found to the SUBSCRIBEs too.

    ********************************************

    404 Not Found issue: I'm pretty sure that a user (testpim in my case) should be created in the Opensips server to solve the 404 issue. Can any of you tell me how to do it? Do I need to create it directly in the MySQL server? In which table then?

    What I did is try to create a new user in the subscriber table. Now I have what is shown below:

    mysql> select * from subscriber
        -> ;
    +---+-------+---------+-------+----------+-----------------------+-----------------------+----+
    | id | username | domain       | password | email_address | ha1                              | ha1b                             | rpid |
    +---+-------+---------+-------+----------+-----------------------+-----------------------+----+
    |  1 | 1001     | opensips.org | 1001     |               | 9ec573cda786e34ce8464a0512cf75e5 | 71d5545b4de9048656e5ff363ddd8eb4 | NULL |
    |  2 | testpim  | nsn.com      | 123456   |               |                                  |                                  | NULL |
    +---+-------+---------+-------+----------+-----------------------+-----------------------+----+

    As you can see I created the user testpim, with domain nsn.com and password 123456, but the SUBSCRIBE answer is the same 404 Not found…

    503 Service unavailable: no idea on how to solve that issue… Is there a way to check if the presence module is running properly?

    Hi again,

    It was a config error… I finally used the config shown in http://www.opensips.org/Resources/SimplePresConfig, commenting the REGISTER lines (because I only use OPENSIPS as PS) and it's working. Now I get a 513 Message too big, but this is a different war ;)

    Thanks anyway guys!
