Hello, The Open Simp-X server is up, you might need to get the latest version from CVS. What you need to do is to set your company in the netasol.cfn or .netasolrc to opensimpx, and you can set the ftpHost and serverHost to opensimpx.org. So it would look something like this: company: opensimpx serverHost: opensimpx.org ftpHost: opensimpx.org We will be releasing a new pre-release very soon, so stay tuned to the file downloads. Thanks, Matt |

Open Simp-X developers, We have been trying to fix some problems we had with the earlier release (Beta) by the end of yesterday but this was not possible, mean while a running version has been added to the CVS and you may check them out and try them before we prepare the next build. We anticipate to complete the build by the end of today. We will also be putting up a public server to which developers can connect, this will be done with the next day or so. John Muriuki. |

There should be a config file somewhere. In linux, all it is is an environment variable and "export CVS_RSH=ssh" is the same as "set CVS_RSH=ssh" in dos. Check the link: http://www.wincvs.org/ssh.html Before you are able to checkout the cvs you have to register your user into the cvs by doing: ssh dev...@cv... It will connect and boot you out right away, but now you can checkout and use the cvs. Matt |

Ok I downloaded WinCvs. So how exactly do I translate the command " export CVS_RSH=ssh cvs -z3 -d:ext:dev...@cv...:/cvsroot/opensimpx co modulename " which is what you would at the command line to wincvs menu actions, etc.? Also do we create a jar file each time we make a build, if not we should. -scott _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com |

Yes, we can set one up. So for the address of the serverHost would be opensimpx.org. I'll let everyone know when this is setup. To setup postgresql on windows here is a link if anyone would wanted to: http://people.freebsd.org/~kevlo/postgres/portNT.html Matt > > > 2) Can we set up a server that is constantly running? > > > >What do you mean by this? Scott, > 1) What version of the crypto and hsql libraries are you guys synced up > with? I want to make sure I have the same ones. You can find more information at http://www.opensimpx.org/info/relatedprojects.htm (There are links to the downloads) > 2) Can we set up a server that is constantly running? What do you mean by this? Suggestions? For windows rename the netasolrc file to netasol.cnf. Put this file in the folder where you are organizing everything, like opensimpx. In the opensimpx folder you can have images, plugins, lib, and a tmp directory. Right now you have to execute Open Simp-X from the directory with netasol.cnf, so in your opensimpx directory execute "java org.opensimpx.client.login.Login". Matt |

Couple questions: 1) What version of the crypto and hsql libraries are you guys synced up with? I want to make sure I have the same ones. 2) Can we set up a server that is constantly running? 4) I don't have ssh set up I my machine yet so I can't check out the cvs tree just yet. Right now I'm working with the latest snapshot but when I run the Client it gives me an error saying it can't find the file "netasol.cnf" and when I do a search in the osx directory it doesn't come up. Suggestions? thanks, scott _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com |
