Thank you for the OpenSDRM introduction, it=92s certainly a system of a =
long
history. For the future I think the following factors are key to the =
success
of the system;

-       Openness to as many content formats as possible

Having worked on the original architecture I have the following areas I
would like to contribute:

-       Server platform enhancement, security of the SOAP/XML interfaces
between the servers

-       Cleaning up the code

[Carlos Serrao] Ok, this is also one of the areas where Adetti will work =
for
sure, so we are perfectly aligned in our objectives.  We should plan =
regular
audio-conferences to discuss this issues =96 Skype is a good tool to do =
this.

I am also interested in integrating another player with the system =
Videolan
VLC may be an interesting candidate.  =20

[Carlos Serrao] Pardon me, but I think VLC is the **PLAYER**, for the
following reasons:

*	It is open-source (GPL)
*	It supports many audio and video formats including MPEG-4 and DivX
(http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html) and Microsoft ones (wma and
wmv);
*	It supports many platforms =96 windows, linux, mac, and pocketPC;
*	It can be integrated as a plug-in or active-x on a web-page inside a
web-browser =96 firefox or internet explorer.

This ensures that we may be able also to target DRM protected content to
many different scenarios and platforms. For this I think VLC is the one.
