We recognized in several discussions that the definition is currently not sufficient. Critical point: What does "stopping [...] for a time" means? How long has this time to be? And vise versa: How short is "Without break"?
Maybe it would be possible to use particular attributes for the definition like: Continuous means that the stop time n >= start time n+1 ("there is no gap between the measurement times").
