"PCSC compliant" is a marketing term.
The PC/SC workgroup only deals with Windows.
Microsoft is no more a member of the PC/SC workgroup.
The PC/SC workgroup is dead (more or less).

I don't know why you think "PCSC compliant" is important. If the
reader works for you than that is fine. No?
