Big brother rules because all the little brothers never got
their act together but rather use their "power" to fight
other little brothers.

The smart card community is a prime example of a failed
brotherhood (priesthood?) driven by suspicion, religious
beliefs in specific solutions, and a general lack of
interest in solving things that matters for the majority
like price, availability and utility.
